This handsome brute is a Mamiya C330s. It’s a medium format TLR which takes 120/220 roll film. It produces 6×6 square format photos, which I often crop to anyway, so I’m intrigued to see how I’ll cope with having that parameter enforced by the camera.
It’s one of the few TLRs which has interchangeable lenses, I have the standard 80mm f2.8 Mamiya/Sekor Lens, which I think is about the same as a 50mm in 35mm land. There is a bit of dust needing cleaned up on the ground glass, and I need to use my SLR for metering purposes, but I’m looking forward to experimenting with it…
I like it. I have a Kiev 88 which I am trying to sell, if that’s something you’d like to add to your collection, let me know. Here are some photos of it, price is negotiable: http://www.kameraseura.fi/kamerafoorumi/index.php?topic=1572.0
Cheers Hendrik, but I think my next purchase will be a new scanner. It’s looks like a nice package though…
i have the same camera with several extra lenses, it was passed down to me from a family member. it probably needs some minor repairs and cleaning but I hope to get it going soon.
I love it, it’s a joy to use! Pity it’s so heavy though!
