Velvia was probably not the best choice given it’s limited dynamic range, the landscape was super-contrasty at times. But you’ve got to work with what you’ve got. I’m still hit-or-miss with the metering. I’ll think I’ll be saving the Velvia for lower contrast situations in future, or I could try handholding ND Grads in front of the lens [guesswork, with a TLR I’ll wager].
Time to start experimenting with alternatives [Portra 160NC?], and or shooting some B+W, I really need to try developing B+W at home.
